About Carrie Johnson
Carrie has nurtured her curiosity and growth mindset for over 30 years in business and strategy, partnering with and within a variety of industries. She has championed girls and women for the past 13 years as the Founder and Executive director of Girls on the Run in Lancaster and Lebanon. Carrie’s collaborative, thoughtful leadership style and naturally intuitive personal skills have been demonstrated throughout her career as Vice President of Organizational Development at Willow Valley Retirement Communities and as an Executive Leadership Consultant with Talent Plus, an international selection, and leadership development company. Her service drive comes from her years as Human Resources Director for the Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Philadelphia and Boston. A highlight from this chapter was representing The Ritz-Carlton Hotel company as a national presenter of the powerful mission and vision strategies, sharing with business executives the model that puts the hotel company at the top of all service delivery lists.
Carrie sprinkles what others have called “the Carrie Johnson phenomena” into every interaction and fuels herself daily with meditation, being in nature, and journaling. She gains energy from family and friends, being in nature, learning, and exploring. Her greatest joy is watching her two daughters spread their wings as she raises them alongside her husband, Kerry. Connecting deeply with others, hiking, skiing, playing with her golden retriever, and reading all keep her growth mindset buoyed.
She holds certifications in Leadership Coaching Strategies from Harvard Professional Development Program, is a facilitator for Stephen Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, and is currently being certified in Positive Intelligence Coaching.
She volunteers her talents on several boards and serves her community in the capacity of mentor, facilitator, and partner. She is grateful for her English and Psychology degree from Franklin and Marshall College and additional coursework at Bentley College and Harvard University.
